why is there a new zone title, and why is it written in a way that makes no sense whatsoever?
I agree with Garret, seems a bit pointless to me.

It is indded a lyric, from a song. It's Match Box 20's lyrics to the song I'm Not Crazy. Check the song lyrics out for yourself if you haven't heard the song. I saw this and I reconised the lyric.
It's the admin's site, it's his choice to do what he wishes. But I'm curious to know why he did what he did to the title.
I think it's kind of funny myself. I mean, we're all a little impaired. Sort of makes you think.
Yeah, and also ... I mean "Games, community and more" describes it better to someone who comes on here the first time than that new title.
But I agree with Caitlin: It's quite funny and despite what I said before ... hey, it's a change. So why not? At least it tells that the users are all a little impaired!!
I don't quite get the point of the new Zone title it sounds a bit to tacky for a title but then again it does humor me a bit. I guess I can live with the change.

As annoying as it might seem, it's just a title. Even though it doesn't make sense, it's just a title. Looks like it's here to stay. Just give it time, you'll get use to it.

The Zone BBS - Caution, Drama Ahead
Ok, but what does that have to do with the site? Drama is everywhere. Why not just call it The Zone BBS and leave it like that? Or The Zone BBS, a place for friends, relaxation and entertainment? Or something along the line as the zone is for more then just the boards, it's entertainment and relaxation with games and socialization with friends on Quick Notes or Ventrilo.
What's wrong with a little creativity? Come on people, deal with it.
I find it rather amusing. If the admins have not done so already maybe they could setup a random script to change it periodicly. Seeing as they already have randomizing code in place. Just modify it a little.
Or The Zone BBS, the drama pool awaits you!

Why not allow all members to be able to customize their own titles? The start page should just show The Zone BBS. When you go to the account settings put a fields in where you'd like to customize the title and sub title. And when submitted the title chan change to whatever you want.
I noticed the titles, but I didn't really pay much attention to them, but now that I read this topic, I have to agree with what Ines said. I think the old one was better. It described that the zone had games, etc. so, to someone who's never been here before, it would be better than what's there now.
I think we should be able to change other people's title. Then you'd see the hair fly around here.
I thought the first title change was weird, but I like this newest one: "The Zone BBS, Games, Community, and Drama!" It describes this site exactly! *smile*

That random title thing is a great idea.
Perhaps you can submit your titles, and then the script grabs one of the submitted titles from the sql db and puts it on the home page?

Yeah, I agree it's messed up. Why those specific people anyway. The Zone is what it is because of everyone that contributes to it *smile*, including admins, CL's, and the members who use it. I liked that title "The Zone BBS - Games, Community, and Drama!" Though. They should've stayed with that one. *smile*
Oh. I finally get what they're doing by rerefreshing the page and seeing that different names are being used each time. That's kind of neat after all in a way. But I still wonder why certain people's names keep coming up more or repeatedly with others'?
Yeah I sat there and refreshed quite a bit and never seen my screen name come up with this new one. Yeah the title "The Zone BBS - Games, Comunity, and Drama!" describes the site pretty damn well. They should've kept that title.
Then again the Zone title "The Zone BBS - Caution, Drama Ahead was pretty cool even though it didn't describe the site very well but hey it's the damn truth everytime you turn around it seems like the drama stays with the site. hahaha
I liked the "brought to you by xxx and y y y" title. I hope they keep that one.
